Here at Bearden UMC Childcare, we are committed to creating a community that recognizes and embraces diverse backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences. We will not tolerate or condone discrimination.
We believe that early childhood is the most crucial stage in a child's life, we strive to offer support at this key stage and help children learn and grow through play as they interact with the world around them.
Our Commitment is to Current and Future Generations.
Security
Your child’s safety is our top priority. Our facility is equipped with multiple security measures to ensure a secure environment:
Restricted Access: Our childcare wing is accessible only to enrolled families and staff through a secure PIN code entry system.
24/7 Surveillance: Security cameras monitor each classroom, the gym, the playground, and the parking lot for added protection.
Thorough Background Checks: All staff members, extracurricular visitors, and church staff have undergone comprehensive background checks with the state of Tennessee.
We are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing space where your child can learn and grow with confidence.
Longevity
For over 40 years, we have been a trusted part of our community, providing a loving and enriching environment for children to learn and grow. We take pride in the lasting relationships we’ve built, having served multiple generations of families—from infancy through after-school care.
Our dedicated team is at the heart of what we do, with some staff members being part of our preschool family for over 20 years. We cherish the opportunity to watch children thrive and support families through every stage of early childhood development.
Community
We believe that a strong connection between our childcare program and the church creates a richer, more supportive environment for everyone—our staff, families, church staff, and church members. We are committed to continually strengthening this relationship and fostering a sense of community, faith, and belonging.
Through shared events, engagement opportunities, and open communication, we strive to create a welcoming space where families not only receive quality childcare but also feel connected to a larger, caring church family. Together, we grow in love, support, and service.
